Food Photography: Apple Tart

"Apple Tart"

I have been practicing baking and photographing lately with my mom. She is a photographer and sometimes works taking photos of food products. She also has her own food blog called Bella Bonito

We decided to decorate the tart by making rose petals with sliced apples. Then I shifted powder sugar  on the top after the tart was baked like in the picture. My mom took this picture for my blog post for me to show how I did it. What do you think?  We have a big apple tree in our back yard and used apple flowers and leaves for decoration. I think it looks beautiful and fancy!

Do you also like to bake? What do you like to bake?

Dreamy Water Color Mountain

"Dreamy Mountain"

The way I painted this mountain is that I put a lot of water on my paper and then I got some blue, purple and black and white paints.  After I was done getting my colors and paint brushes, I took one color and I mixed a lot of water with the paint, then took my brush and tapped the brush on the watery paper and the color just spread all over and dripped down I did the same for the other colors . Then I got my black and white paints that I mixed together for gray paint. I put some gray all around the top and I put a little bit more water on the gray so it would drip down a little and on the top the sky was night time. Before the paint dried, I sprinkled some salt on the sky so it would look like stars.  I also just thought it would look nice! Do you like it? I also did a little bit of some trees and bushes. Thanks for stopping by!!

Ink Wash Painting called Sumie

"Koi Fish"

Today I am posting my new Sumie painting pieces, Koi Fish and Japanese Village. I used my mom's Japanese calligraphy brush and sumi ink. I also used a sponge.

My favorite thing about the koi Fish is that when I finished It looked like a Koi Fish around the face and the tail looked pretty cool. My mom thought it looked like a cool Dragon.

I watched a Japanese show and in that show the character used Sumi Ink and I really liked the painting that the character did. Then I wanted to try to do the same painting. But my painting is a little different from the one I saw, but I do like my painting!
